Domain Roulette - do participants need to own/register the domain?

My question: is it required to actually register and own the domain, or is the challenge about building a product inspired by and named after the domain?

I want to confirm whether a live deployment at that URL is required, or whether demonstrating the product concept in a demo (with the domain as the brand/name) is sufficient for judging.

The problem is that some of the domains that I liked are already registered.

    You do not need to register the domains (they’ve already been registered by name.com for this challenge). This challenge is purely about building a product inspired by one of the domains in the list. Let me know if you have any other questions!
